Riverland Community College recently named sophomores Kyal Williams, a baseball player, and Krista Viehauser, a women’s basketball player, as its athletes of the year.

Viehauser, an Austin grad, who was also named to the All-MCAC and All-Region team this season, as she averaged 20.8 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.3 steals. She finished as RCC’s all-time leading scorer with 1,083 career points.

Williams, who is from Adlaide South Australia, is 4-1 with a 2.725 ERA on the mound, while hitting .431 with 3 homeruns, 13 doubles and 32 RBIs for the Blue Devils this spring.
