The Austin baseball team put up four runs in the last two innings to beat Hibbing (2-7 overall) 4-3 in St. Cloud Saturday.
The Packers (2-9 overall) scored twice in the top of the sixth to pull within 3-2. In the seventh, Jordan Lysne grounded a single down the line and Caleb Wahlen singled to start off the inning and they each scored on errors to give Austin the lead for good.
“That was a big hit from Lysne and we needed it,” Austin head coach Troy Watkins said. “We put pressure on the defense and it was nice to squeak one out.”
Marcus Stoulil picked up his second win of the year on the mound and Anthony Condit pitched a perfect seventh inning for the save.
The Packers have now won two of their last four games.
