Another Izaak Walton League steak cookout fundraiser is just around the corner.

The League will hold its next cookout fundraiser May 25 at 5:45 p.m. at the Izaak Walton Cabin in Todd Park.

Steak cookouts are the main fundraising events for the Austin Chapter of the Izaak Walton League. Austin Chapter 10 has five steak cookouts remaining this year: May 25, June 29, July 27, Sept. 14, and Oct. 5.

The menu is a 10 ounce sirloin steak, a baked potato, coleslaw, a bun, and fresh vegetables.

It’s open to the public. Tickets are $12 and are available at the door or by contacting an Ike member.

Proceeds from the May steak cookout will be used to provide scholarships to area youth to attend summer camps at Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center near Lanesboro. Eagle Bluff summer camps give students the opportunity to learn about nature and develop outdoor skills such as canoeing, fishing, and camping. This is the sixth year that Austin Chapter 10 has provided scholarships to Eagle Bluff.
