Author to speak at Hormel Home

On Tuesday, May 17, the public will get a chance to hear about “one man’s struggle to overcome human tragedy on an epic scale.”
According to the author, Wayne Quist, that’s what his book is about; and he’s sharing it at the Hormel Historic home. Quist’s story centers around Joe Haan, who grew up poor in St. Paul and became an orphan at 7. However, Haan’s luck turned around. Eventually, he became a hero.
The author has two presentations: 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. The first showing includes a free lunch, and the second, free refreshments. RSVP for the luncheon by calling the HHH by Friday, May 13, at 433-4243.
