Area athletes compete in Section 1A track prelims

A few area athletes competed in the Section 1A preliminary track and field meet in Triton Tuesday.
The finals will be held in Triton Thursday.
Lyle/Pacelli’s Maya Ebeling took second in the girls discus and Hunter Anderson took first in the boys shot put.
For the boys, Blooming Prairie’s Michael Thomas reached the 200-meter and 400-meter dash finals.
For the girls, Hayfield’s Madison Heydt and GMLOS’s Sydney Bendtsen reached the 100-meter dash finals, GMLOS’s Betsy Oswald reached the 200-meter dash finals, Heydt and GMLOS’s Elizabeth May reached the 400-meter dash finals, and GMLOS’s Danielle Hanson reached the 300-meter hurdles finals,
