I am a state worker. My office is on the lanes, shoulders and ditches of Minnesota’s state highways.
April 28 was Workers Memorial Day, when we honored those killed in work-related incidents.
Please keep in mind when traveling during this upcoming construction season, that when you see flashing lights up ahead, either move over or slow down.
Flashing lights include law enforcement officers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel, tow truck drivers and highway maintenance workers who provide critical services on Minnesota roadways. Moving over and slowing down are two small steps that can help in preventing a terrible crash.
