The Hayfield baseball team braved the cold weather outside to pull off a five-inning 6-4 win over Goodhue (0-2 overall) in Hayfield Thursday.

Hayfield freshman Drew Streightiff knocked two runs in with a single to break a 4-4 tie in the bottom of the fourth.

The game was reduced to five innings due to the conditions.

Jared Ellis picked up the in on the mound for the Vikings (3-2 overall, 3-2 HVL).
