Sirens sounded in Austin Thursday just before 2 p.m. as part of a test on Tornado Drill Day and during Severe Weather Awareness Week. Another siren test occurred at 6:55 p.m. tonight.

Normally, sirens are tested at 1 p.m. on the first Wednesday of every month.
