Roger A. Stout, 80, of Belton, Texas, died Sunday, March 13, 2011, at his residence. Mr. Stout was born on Sept. 23, 1930, in Thompson, Iowa, to Ben and Gertrude Stout. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He married Bernadine Smith on May 30, 1952, in Albert Lea. He was employed as a chief patrol agent for the U.S. Border Patrol for 26 years retiring in 1980. Membership include FORBPO, Elks Lodge No. 138, Blue Knights of Texas XVI, Charter Member of HOG, AMCA, GWRAA and Quiet Birdman Order.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Milton Stout. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Bernadine Stout, of Belton; two sons: Alan Stout and wife, Laurie, of Austin, Texas, Dennis Stout and wife, Debbie, of Garland, Texas; one daughter, Connie Adams, of Anchorage, Alaska; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, Jerry Stout and wife, Shirley, of Greencastle, Penn.
Pallbearers are Ron Cooper, Tom Young, Ken Kalustian, Paul Thurman, Ron Nelson, Larry Smith and Jim Selbe.
Memorial donations may be made to the Elks Lodge No. 138 National Scholarship Fund.
