The Southland softball team beat Saint Charles (2-3 overall) 7-3 on the road Thursday.

After allowing more than four runs in their first four games of the season, the Rebels (5-2 overall, 4-2 Three Rivers) have now held their last three opponents under four runs.

“We played very well, but we still had a couple of mistakes,” Southland head coach Greg Shulte said. “We are starting to grow from the mistakes we had earlier in the season and we’re improving.”
