You might want to say your Hail Marys before attending Late Night Catechism 3 this Saturday. Even if you’re not Catholic.
“Late Night Catechism 3: Til Death Do Us Part,” will play at the Paramount Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Saturday night. The play, featuring a single actress in full nun attire, promises to be unlike anything audiences have experienced before.
“Late Night Catechism,” is the latest interactive theatre play to hit Austin. The intereractive theatre genre, made famous by plays like “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare: Abridged,” involves the audience in various ways, and “Late Night Catechism” is no exception.
While Paramount Manager Scott Anderson knows some of the antics the audience is in for, he’s not telling.
“You don’t have to be catholic to like it,” Anderson said.
The play is the third installment of the “Late Night Catechism” series, which became nationally famous after debuting in Chicago in 1993. The first two plays have toured in Austin to great success, Anderson said.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for students and are available at the Paramount Box Office.
