The Austin boys tennis team picked up a 4-3 win over Blue Earth at Paulson Courts Tuesday.

The match was tied at three with senior Andrew Heickly still on the court in the No. 2 doubles match. Heickly thrived with the pressure on and pulled off a 6-4, 7-5 win to give the Packers (1-1 overall) a victory.

“This was a huge stepping stone for Andrew,” Austin head coach Tom Tauchnitz said. “It was the first time he was in that situation and he came through.”

Austin lost its opener at Northfield by a score of 5-2 Monday.
