The Southland girls golf team fell to Chatfield 238-289 in its season opener in Adams Monday.

Southland sophomore Megan Harvey was meet medalist with a score of 55.

“The good news is we’ve started another year of golf and we already have a medalist on our side,” Southland head coach Tim Brennan said. “It’s been awhile since this has happened for Southland’s girls. Megan’s been working hard on her game early and it showed.”
