An Austin woman was sentenced to 30 days in jail — 28 of which have already been served — for a fifth-degree drug charge.
Wendy Sue Parker, 39, was sentenced Thursday morning in Mower County Court. Once her jail time is complete, she will serve five years of supervised probation. Additional drug charges, including storing methamphetamine paraphernalia in the presence of children, were dismissed.
Parker was arrested last November when Austin police executed a search warrant at the home she shares with Joe Eric Adcock, who was previously sentenced in the case.
Police discovered meth pipes, a digital scale, marijuana pipes and a small amount of marijuana in plain sight in their bedroom. Also found was 0.9 grams of meth in a desk drawer in the bedroom.
Two capsules containing traces of white powder that tested positive for meth were discovered during the search – one in Parker’s pocket and one in a plastic container in the bedroom.
Police also seized $154 in cash, four pills of Vyvanse (Lisdexamfetamine), six pills containing hydrocodone, 45 Clonazepam and 13 Alprazalam.
Two juveniles live with Parker and Adcock and have bedrooms on the same level of the home. Adcock was previously sentenced to five years of supervised probation in this case.
