Mayble K. Vogel, 97, of St. Paul, formerly of Austin, Minn. and Kerrville, Texas, passed away March 28, 2011.

She was a woman who was fiercely loyal to her beliefs, opinionated, patriotic, a supporter of women’s rights, and most of all, her family. She proudly volunteered at the VA Hospital — a consumate American patriot. She loved nature and exploring new places, and in retirement, traveling internationally with her husband in their Airstream.

She was preceded in death by husband, Frederick and son, Lewis.

She is survived by daughters, Donna McCarthy and Jane Vogel, both of St. Paul; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service is private and interment will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Cremation Society of Minnesota is in charge of arrangements: (612)825-2435.
