An Austin man was arrested for alleged stalking and attempted burglary outside of a woman’s window at Bremerton Apartments Tuesday night around 9 p.m.
Charges are pending, but Police Chief Brian Krueger said likely charges are attempted burglary, stalking, harassing communication and driving after revocation. He is also currently on probation.
When police arrived at the apartment complex, they saw fresh footprints in the snow that led to the front window area of the woman’s apartment. The front screen had been removed, implying that the man had attempted to enter through the window.
Krueger said police found the man after following the footprints to the back of the building.
He is being held in Mower County jail pending charges.
