GMLOS girls track team takes first at 16-team indoor invite

The Grand Meadow/LeRoy/Ostrander girls track and field team won the 16-team indoor Cashton Invite in La Crosse, Wis. Saturday.
GMLOS scored a total of 108 points and the next closest team was Whitehall, Wis., which had a 73.
The GMLOS boys finished in fourth with 48 points as Whitehall won with a score of 147.50.
Sophomore Elizabeth May took first in the 400-meter run and the triple jump, Junior Betsy Oswald took second in the 200-meter dash and sophomore Danielle Hanson was second in the long jump.
The 4 x 200-meter relay team of May, Oswald, Syndney Bendtsen and Addison Tapp took first and the 4 x 400 meter relay team of Hanson, May, Oswald, and Tapp took first.
The meet featured mostly teams from Wisconsin.
