County Attorney Kristen Nelsen could soon decide whether she’ll have ongoing help in her office.

The county board will discuss whether to keep on a full-time attorney in the County Attorney’s Office who is currently paid through a grant.

Event with that position, Nelsen has previously stated her office is understaffed to deal with the high case loads.

The county board meets in the county board room of the Mower County Government Center starting at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

The board will also discuss a mutual aid agreement with Freeborn, Faribault and Steele counties for emergency jail services.
