The Blooming Prairie boys basketball team showed some resolve but it didn’t pay off in a 49-46 loss to United South Central (10-6 overall, 8-4 Gopher) in BP Friday.

USC’s Cole Stencl tied the game with a three with 24 seconds to go and after BP turned it over with five seconds left, Stencl won the game with a buzzer beating three.

The Awesome Blossoms (4-15 overall, 2-9 Gopher) had trailed by 10 with nine minutes to go before taking the lead.

Michael Thomas had 18 points and 11 rebounds for BP.
