The ninth-seeded Grand Meadow girls basketball team lost 89-29 at No. 1 Spring Grove in the first round of the Section 1A East Division playoffs Friday.

Taylor Elton had 19 points, nine assists and six steals, and Richell Mehus had 19 points, nine assists and 10 steals for the Lions (26-1 overall).

The Superlarks (6-19 overall) trailed 50-17 at the half.
