The Hayfield girls basketball team lost to Kasson/Mantorville (14-10 overall) 48-44 in Hayfield Friday.

Sophomore center Abby Pollock had a career-high 15 points for the Vikings (11-10 overall), but it wasn’t enough.

Hayfield, which has lost six of seven, trailed 21-13 at the half but it rallied to take a three-point lead with five minutes left in the game.

“We had a couple of turnovers and then we couldn’t get steals,” Hayfield head coach Fred Kindschy said.
