Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., will meet with Mayor Tom Stiehm Saturday afternoon to discuss economic innovation and job creation.

The stop is one of six in southern Minnesota on Klobuchar’s Innovation Tour to highlight the importance of economic growth and getting Minnesotans back to work. She will also be stopping at businesses in Rochester, Harmony, Fairmont and Albert Lea, as well as meeting with the St. James mayor.

Klobuchar recently introduced the Innovate America Act in Congress, which would help businesses use research methods to develop new products and services, help boost successful education programs and promote U.S. exports to increase America’s influence on the global economy. Her Innovation Tour will highlight this bill and encourage local businesses and governments to support it.
