It is with great regret, the retired physicians and other medical personnel of Austin learned of the passing of their friend and colleague, Dr. John Patten of Wolfeboro, N.H., who died June 20, 2010.

Dr. Patten, general surgeon, was on staff at the Austin Medical Center from 1960 to 1974. He endeared himself to many people in the Austin Community and served them well in his surgical practice.

The doctors and medical personnel send their sincere sympathy to his wife, Avis and three sons, John, Craig and Chris.
