For the third year in a row, the Mower County Historical Society is selling Community Day books to help raise funds for the historical society.

The event takes place on Saturday, Feb. 26, starting at 7 a.m. at the Younkers store located in the Oak Park Mall.

For $5, you will receive a $10 coupon, 30 percent off early bird coupon, 30 percent off exclusive online coupon, and many other deals. To sweeten the deal this year, coupons can now be used on yellow dot items unlike previous years.

The MCHS gets to keep all $5 from each book sold. It’s a win-win situation for everyone as you get to receive shopping discounts while supporting your local historical society.

If 25 books are sold before the event, the MCHS will have the opportunity to sell in-store during the event and share in the books sold by Younkers cashiers.

This fundraiser has helped MCHS raise on average of $500 each year!

Books can be purchased at the historical society’s administration building during regular hours, Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., from MCHS board members.
