The Lyle/Pacelli girls basketball team beat Alden/Conger (7-17 overall) 71-53 in Pacelli Gym Thursday.

The Athletics (14-7 overall) trailed by as many as 14 in the first half and they were down 32-31 at the break but they turned up the defensive pressure to dominate the second half.

“We came out and turned them over and got some few easy lay-ups and we also got some transition hoops off of rebounds,” L/P head coach Brad Walter said.

Ann Rysavy had 24 points, 14 rebounds and six steals for L/P and Nyabang Diang had 26 points and 11 rebounds.
