The sixth-seeded Lyle/Pacelli girls basketball team regrouped at halftime and turned it on in a 63-47 win at No. 5 Janesville/Waldorf/Pemberton (10-15 overall) in the first round Section 1A West Division in Janesville Friday.

The Athletics had their top three scorers in foul trouble in the first half as they trailed by three at the break. But in the second half they got back to their pressing defense and they turned the game around.

“If we can keep our girls in the game, we’re a pretty good team and in the second half it was our style,” L/P head coach Brad Walter said.
