The Lyle/Pacelli boys basketball team lost 60-56 at Mabel/Canton (7-15 overall, 7-9 SEC) Friday.

The game was tied at 52 with 1:30 left, but the Athletics (6-14 overall, 6-9 SEC) missed a good look and had a turnover down the stretch.

Senior Ryan Rust poured in 23 points for L/P and head coach Casey Anderson was pleased with his team’s effort.

“It was probably our best game we’ve played all year,” he said. “We played for the 36 minutes and we played hard.”
