Rebel boys get past Chatfield

The Southland boys basketball team was a little rusty after a week off, but they still beat Chatfield 75-66 on the road Tuesday.
Southland (9-5 overall, 6-4 Three Rivers) led 32-25 at the half and it led by 16 late.
Chatfield (4-9 overall) had 17 offensive rebounds in the loss.
“On defense we were a step slow and Chatfield did a good job of taking advantage of it, but we’ll take the win,” Southland head coach Jon Thalberg said.
