The Austin boys basketball team bounced back from a long lay-off with a strong start in a 74-47 win at Rochester John Marshall (1-2 Big Nine) Tuesday.
The Packers (2-4 overall, 2-1 Big Nine) hadn’t played in two weeks, but they didn’t miss a beat as they opened the game with an 11-4 run and they led by as many as 34 in the second half.
“Everybody played well for 28 minutes and it was good to see us start the second half well,” Austin head coach Kris Fadness said.
Joe Aase had 16 points and seven rebounds for the Packers, while Zach Fadness hit four-of-six threes in scoring 13 points.
“Zach got off to a good start and he shot the ball well,” Fadness said.
Austin forced 25 JM turnovers and it held the Rockets to 38 percent shooting from the field.
