LITTLE FALLS, Minn. — Authorities have released the name of a Little Falls man shot to death after a standoff with law officers last week.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension identifies the man as 37-year-old Patrick Jeske.
An autopsy found Jeske suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
The Morrison County sheriff’s office was called early Thursday about a man with a gun who was suicidal.
When officers tried to stop Jeske, he pulled into a driveway and reportedly got out of his vehicle armed with a shotgun. Officers opened fire when he refused to put down the weapon.
Four officials are on paid administrative leave while the shooting is investigated. They are identified as Little Falls police Officers Jon West and Joshua Burgardt and Morrison County sheriff’s Deputy James Paschelke and sheriff’s Sgt. Shawn Larson.
