The Austin girls hockey team couldn’t make enough stops in the net in a 9-3 loss at Faribault (6-8-1 overall, 3-6 Big Nine) Thursday.

Austin (4-12 overall, 1-7 Big Nine) allowed just 25 shots on goal, but the Falcons connected on 36 percent of those shots.

“We skated real well but our goaltending just didn’t stand up tonight,” Austin head coach Denny Bray said.

Allison Hoban had five saves on nine shots in a period and Sam LeBarron stopped seven of the 12 shots she saw.
