BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. — A contractor working on a project in a suburban Twin Cities home has survived a nail gun wound to the chest.

Police say the accident happened Monday afternoon in Brooklyn Park. A woman left the home while the contractor worked and returned hours later to find the man on the floor with a nail gun injury. The contractor was conscious when he was taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale. Inspector Todd Milbourn tells the Star Tribune the man had been on the floor for a few hours with at least one nail in his chest from the pressurized gun.
