Georgia P. Block, 96

Georgia P. Block, 96, of Austin, died on Christmas morning, Saturday, Dec. 25, 2010, at Prairie Manor Care Center in Blooming Prairie.

She was born Aug. 3, 1914, in Mankato to John and Mary (Wineberger) Ruhland. She married Clifford W. Block; he preceded her in death on Sept. 6, 1981.

She is survived by her children, William (Bernadette) Block and Linda (Carl) Shoden of Austin; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford and fifteen siblings.

A funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, at Crane Community Chapel with Pastor Colleen Hoeft officiating. Burial was in Grandview Cemetery. Mayer Funeral Home handled arrangements.
