Two men who were arrested for allegedly possessing 12 individually wrapped rocks of crack cocaine pleaded guilty to felony drug charges in Mower County court Friday.
Tuquan Lee Smith, 21 of Snellville, Ga. and Eric Donte Watson, 24 of Austin, were arrested along with Quincy Lee Morrow, 23, on Oct. 27. The three men face similar felony drug charges.
Both Smith and Watson pleaded guilty to third-degree drug possession of three or more grams of cocaine in exchange for a second-degree drug possession charge being dismissed.
The men were arrested in the vicinity of Second Street and Second Avenue Southwest after police received a call about three males chasing another man near Domino’s Pizza and Napa Auto Parts.
When police arrived, they saw one of the suspects sitting in a Chrysler Sebring yelling out the window. Police took inventory of the vehicle and discovered the 12 rocks of crack cocaine in a cigarette pack inside the car.
Police also found a black pouch, pocket-sized scale, numerous plastic bags and razor blades in the trunk of the car.
Smith and Watson are set to be sentenced on Dec. 17.
