The Blue Devils (7-15 overall) bounced back to a 6-0 lead in the third game after dropping game two.

“I don’t think we were discouraged after the second game,” said Loverink, who had two kills in the 6-0 run. “We were in it tonight and we wanted to go out with a win.”

As for Loverink, she hopes to continue her volleyball career at a four-year school next season.

“I’m going to miss playing here and I”ll my miss my coach (Helen Jahr),” Loverink said. “She did a great job.”
