The Austin volleyball team got a firsthand look on what could be one of the top teams in the Big Nine this year, and the results were not in the Packers’ favor.

Owatonna (3-0 overall) swept Austin 25-10, 25-14, 25-9 in Packer Gym Tuesday.

“Owatonna is a very well rounded team and they had very few week spots for us to focus on,” Austin head coach Darica Schneider said. “We were scrappy and we made some solid plays, but they flustered us a little bit.”

The Huskies hit most of their attacks on the outside, which limited the number of attacks for Austin (0-2 overall).

“They hit at our setters, which kept them from starting our offense,” Schneider said.
