ROSEVILLE — Police have arrested a 29-year-old for allegedly killing an 83-year-old relative in Roseville.

The Star Tribune of Minneapolis reports the relative was found dead in a first floor condominium unit Tuesday.

Authorities did not say how the man died, and declined to name the victim or the suspect.

A police news release said the suspect, who lives in Stillwater, approached an officer and confessed to the murder. Police are still trying to determine a motive.

Detectives planned to present the case to the Ramsey County attorney’s office Wednesday for consideration of charges.
