A special presentation on ending hunger is planned for for today at Austin Public Library.  The community assessment completed by United Way found having enough money to pay for food to be one of the top ten issues in Mower County.

In Mower County alone 1,487,837 meals are missed by residents every year. That’s 14% of our residents. This event is an opportunity to hear about the real issue of hunger in Mower County, the plan to end hunger statewide in 3 years and open discussion on how to address this important issue locally.
