Paul Sayles

Paul L. Sayles, 85, of McHenry, formerly of Austin, died Wednesday, July 7, 2010, while in the company of family members at his residence.
Paul was born in Austin on Dec. 19, 1924, the son of the late Loren and Gertrude M. (Rustad) Sayles.
He was married to Janet A. Walker on May 12, 1946, in Chicago and she died July 1, 2003. He was a 1942 graduate of Pacelli High School. He enjoyed spending time in Minnesota and being with his family.
He worked as a salesperson of retail furniture for 40 years, retiring in 1992.
He served in the U.S. Navy in WWII as a Fireman 1st Class from July 1943 to June 1946, spending time in the Pacific Theater.
Paul is survived by two daughters, Kathy Blake of Johnsburg, Ill., and Sue (Mark) Brown of Maricopa, Ariz.; three sons, Steve (Lynn) Sayles of Richfield, Minn., Jerry Sayles of Dallas, Texas, Larry (Terry) Sayles of Irving, Texas; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Leo (Shirley) Sayles of Minnesota.
He was preceded by two sons, Thomas and Michael
Visitation will be Monday, July 12, 2010, from 10 a.m. until the memorial service at 11 am. at Ehorn-Adams Funeral Home, 10011 Main St. Richmond, Ill.
