Kenneth Haskin

Kenneth Roger Haskin, 82, of Waterloo, Iowa, formerly of Austin, Minn. died Thursday, July 22, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
He was born Feb. 23, 1928, in Austin, the son of Ernest A. and Vesta (Clayton) Haskin. Kenneth attended school in Austin and graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1948. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea from 1950 to 1952, attaining the rank of corporal. He married Sharron Porter on June 23, 1956, at First United Methodist Church, Cedar Falls. Kenneth retired from John Deere in 1980 with thirty years of service. Kenneth was a 50 plus year member of Masonic Lodge 65 in Cedar Falls & El Mecca Shrine.
He is survived by his wife Sharron Porter; three sisters: Dorothy (Harvey) Todalen, Austin, Minn., Velma Bonnerup, Albert Lea, and Beverlee (Donald) Starry, Austin, Minn.; four brothers: Lloyd, Independence, Iowa, James (Jean), Dunkerton, Iowa, Ernest (Rose),Denver, Iowa, Harold (Sharon), Hackensack, Minn.; brother-in-law: John (Kathy) Porter, of Waterloo, Iowa; and 44 nieces and nephews.
Kenneth was preceded by his parents, two sisters and their husbands: Eleanor and Fred Leickteig, Rose Creek, Minn., Arlys and Ronald Snyder, Austin, Minn.; a sister-in-law: Jeanne Haskin, Denver, Iowa; and a sister-in-law and husband, Jean and GF (Buck) Dana of Waterloo, Iowa, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 26, at First United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls, with inurnment at Grandview Cemetery, Austin, Minn., at a later date. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, where a 7 p.m. Masonic Service will be conducted, and visitation one hour before service at the church.
