The Mower County Fairgrounds promises to dish out a springtime fix to yard sale junkies, antique hunters, and plain, old-fashioned bargain-lovers alike this weekend.

The Three River Days Antiques & Flea Market takes place this weekend and could be the biggest sale in the event’s seven-year history, organizers say.

Forty vendors have signed up to sell handcrafted jewelry, antiques, furniture, collectibles, and more on the Mower County Fairgrounds on Saturday and Sunday, said organizer Al Smith.

Not only is the market attracting a record number of vendors, from all over the state, Wisconsin and Iowa, but other rummage sales will be held on the fairgrounds at the same time, Smith said.

The Mower County Humane Society holds their annual rummage sale Friday through Sunday; Rochester Community Garage and Rummage Sales have rented half of a building to vend their goods this weekend; and an estate sale company will also hold a sale in another building.

“People are just coming out of the woodwork,” Smith said. “It should be a lot of fun.”
