Singers, musicians, comedians, bands and entertainers of every age are encouraged to showcase their talents before a live audience August 14 at the Mower County Fair.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three winners in each of the three divisions. The divisions will include Pre teen, Teen, and Open categories. First place winners in each division will advance to perform at the Minnesota State Fair, scheduled August 26 through Labor Day.

The Mower County Fair talent competition is set for 1 p.m. Saturday, August 14 at the Godfather’s Fair Square Stage. Entry forms can be found on page 51 in fair books currently being distributed throughout the county.

The competition will be judged by professionals chosen from the music and entertainment field. Deadline for entering is Thursday, August 12. There is an entry fee of $10 per act.
