Paul Ulwelling

Paul J. Ulwelling, 92, of Adams, Minn., died Friday, June 11, 2010, at the Adams Health Care Center.
Paul John Ulwelling was born May 22, 1918, at Adams, Minn., the son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Steins) Ulwelling. He graduated from the Adams High School and served in the US Army in the Mechanized Division of the 4th Calvary. Paul was married to Leone Mary Kramer on May 24, 1949, at Adams, Minn. They farmed in the Adams area. After moving into Adams he was employed by the DAC in Adams for many years.
As a young man, Paul was an avid baseball player. He also enjoyed fishing, camping and bowling.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and Adams Post #146 American Legion.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Leone, brother, Leo and sister, Marie.
Paul is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Victoria and Paul Blum of Minneapolis; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Sandra Ulwelling of Plainview, Minn,; grandchildren, Joe Blum, Tom Blum, Sarah Blum, Lisa Czech, Amy Alger and Callie Ulwelling; great-grandson, Luca; nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Adams, with visitation one hour before the service. Father Ruben Spinler will be officiating. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery with Adams Post # 146 American Legion in charge of military rites. There will be a Rosary service at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, at the Adams Funeral Home where friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m.
