The Austin boys golf team finished with a team score of 325 and four of their golfers moved on to Thursday’s final round at the Section 1AAA meet in Bellwood Oaks golf club in Hastings Tuesday.

Luke Hoefflin, Nick Tabor, Jordan Stasi, and Mark Thorson all finished in the top-12 of individuals whose teams aren’t moving on to advance to Thursday’s finals.

The Packers were slowed down by a three-hour weather delay that put a halt in their momentum. Hoefflin, who finished with an 80, was 10 strokes worse on the back nine, Tabor, who shot an 81, was five strokes worse on the back nine, and Stasi, who had an 82, was eight strokes worse on the back nine.

“If we could’ve stopped the meet after nine holes, we would’ve been near the top as a team,” Austin head coach Will Pazurek said. “It’s tough to sit around and then try to play well, but I don’t know what happened in the back nine.”
