Marguerite Wolf

Marguerite Josephine Johnson Wolf, 94, of Decatur, Ill., passed away at 5:05 p.m. Thursday, May 27, 2010, at St. Marys Hospital.
Marguerite was born Nov. 5, 1915, in Bricelyn, Minn., the daughter of KeaI M. and Josephine (Walsett) Johnson. She graduated from Blue Earth Minnesota High School in 1933 and married Henry on June 10, 1939. Marguerite enjoyed her friends at the Austin Senior Center before moving to Decatur, Ill. to be by her son Jay Wolf in 2001. Thursday was a highlight of her week in Decatur, when she attended the Salvation Army Women’s Ministries with her many friends.
She leaves behind her daughter, Margy Lu (Dale) Evans of Natick, Mass.; sons, Jay (Lou) Wolf of Decatur and Lt. Col. David (Barbara) Wolf of New Bern, N.C.; granddaughters, Emily (Harley) Wolf Skelton and Sara Wolf and her fiance, Tyler Flemming; great-grandsons, Camden and Austin; step-great-grandson, Joey; and her beloved cat, Gwen.
Marguerite has bequeathed her body for medical education to the Mayo Foundation in Rochester, Minn. Her cremains will be inurned there with her late husband, Henry. Henry F. Wolf preceded her in death July 15, 1993, at the age of 84. He worked for the George A. Hormel Company for 37 years. A memorial service was held by the Mayo Foundation on May 28, 2010. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
