Marcella Delores Otterbein, 69, of Austin, passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 12, 2010, at her home.
Marcy was born Dec. 26, 1940, in Dodge Center, Minn. She was married to Robert Otterbein in Northwood, Iowa, in 1958. Marcy grew up in the southern Minnesota area. She also lived some time in California and Nebraska. Marcy was interested in her family who she loved dearly. She retired as a hairdresser.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Otterbein; son, Todd Otterbein; daughter, Lorrie (Mark) Sands; sister, Sharon (Dan) Luben; brother, Sterling (Kathy) Boysen; sister, Patricia Boysen; sister, LaVonne Boysen; brothers, Duane, Darrell and Thomas; special nephew, Benjamin Luben; grandson, Cory Sands.
Marcy is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Boysen and Emma (Armbrust) Boysen; granddaughter, Sara Sands.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, June 17, 2010, at Crane Community Chapel with the Rev. Dale Christiansen officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Mayer Funeral Home and also one hour before the service at the church on Thursday. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield.
