On May 21, IBI Data Relay for Life team sponsored the Black & White Ball. This event raised $4,000 for Relay for Life and American Cancer Society. We would like to thank the over 100 Mower County businesses and individuals that donated items for the silent auction, live auction and door prizes. Thanks to Karrie Maloney and the Holiday Inn for their support. Their suggestions and expertise in setting up the event was greatly appreciated. Dave Thompson did a fantastic job as MC. Janet Anderson with KAAL and Sandy Forstner with the Chamber of Commerce were very helpful in promoting the event. The Austin Daily Herald helped with articles before and after the event. Kristin’s Massage provided massages during the evening with all proceeds donated to Relay for Life. Linda Baier and Mary Hanson, Relay for Life committee members, were very helpful with the evening. And, of course, the event itself would not have succeeded without the great people who attended. Their generosity was fantastic. It is amazing when an event is so successful the first year. Thank you to everyone who helped, donated and attended. We could not have done it without you.
