Have a good story about last June’s tornado? Share it with the Herald

On June 17, 2010, Austin will be exactly 365 days removed from a devastating storm that ripped through the north part of town. Thankfully, no one was seriously hurt, but the twister’s impact was felt in the damage it did to ballparks, trees and area businesses.

Now, to mark the one-year anniversary, the Austin Daily Herald would like to hear what you have to say. Where were you the night of the storm? How did you hear about it? What did you do? If you have a story to share, we’d like to hear it. That’s because a select number of stories will run in the June 17 edition of the Herald.

To submit a storm story, simply e-mail a short write-up to newsroom@austindailyherald.com by no later than Tuesday, June 15. Please include your full name, as well as your city of residence, with the submission. The Herald will strive to run the stories exactly as they are submitted, but staff does reserve the right to edit submissions for space, grammar and style.
