Clarence Moeykens

Clarence Bernard Moeykens, 95, of Austin, died Monday, June 21, 2010, at Comforcare Good Samaritan Center.
Clarence was born Sept. 25, 1914, in Austin to Julius and Marie (DeLoof) Moeykens. He attended country school. On Jan. 15, 1936, Clarence was united in marriage to Genevieve Ginn at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Austin.
Clarence farmed for 40 years northwest of Austin. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his daughter and son-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and visiting in his garage with his friends. Clarence was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and the Farm Bureau.
Survivors include his wife, Genevieve Moeykens of Austin; daughter, Lynda (James) Ruzek of Rochester; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters; son, Gary.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2010, at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father Joe Fogal officiating. There will be a 7 p.m. wake service on Wednesday at Mayer Funeral Home where friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. and also one hour before the service at the church on Thursday. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
The casket bearers will be Mitchel Ruzek, Matthew Ruzek, Eugene Moeykens, Larry Moeykens, Richard Moeykens and Jerry Hesch.
