A woman’s body has been found in the Cannon River.

Rice County officials recovered the body Sunday morning, after someone told authorities that something suspicious was near some debris.

KSTP-TV reports the body was located less than a mile downstream of the site where 20-year-old Brittney Landsverk went missing in April after the car she was riding in went into the river. The three other people in the car survived.

Authorities aren’t sure whether the body is that of the missing Faribault woman. An autopsy is pending.

Officials say they believe recent storms may have dislodged the body.
